Major Injury. What Can I Do Left Handed?

I've got bicep instability, so total loss of using my right arm for the foreseeable future. Not even able to use wrist fingers for texting etc. I use my right hand usually, so even using a pen is difficult now.

As you can imagine that's pretty boring. I've so far worked out I can remap my switch controller to play sunless sea and animal crossing. I can't think of any easy games ican map for one clumsy hand. I can still use doulingo so my French is going through the roof. Other than those two things I haven't thought of anything entertaining to do other than reading.

If anyone has any advice or ideas I'd love to hear it. This isn't much fun.

TLDR: Can't use dominant arm including my hand at all. What can I do for entertainment?

My left hand is sooo clumsy, I'd probably end up breaking something down there haha.

If you lay on your arm till it goes numb, then have a go… I think it’s called “The Stranger”

if your into games could just play some games on the computer with your left hand controlling the mouse.
slower paced games like AoE or even car racing games as i think they only use the arrow keys or WASD.

or if you had an xbox and this injury looked like it was going to be around for a while could invest in one of those adaptive controllers. its designed for 'Gamers with limited mobility' so could work for you.

    • Once elective surgery is back up I'll need that then 6 months rehab. I do have an Xbox I'll look into it thanks.
Car racing isn't a terrible idea. I'll see what we've got already on pc.

      • Holy crop! The controller works for switch too and It's relatively cheap
Buying one now thanks so much for the suggestion!

  • JRPG might be a genre of game to get into as they are turn based and do not require quick inputs. There are quite a few Final Fantasy games on Switch and I have been told that FF9 is really good and underrated since it came out at the end of a console life and overshadowed by FF10.

Some other games on switch I can think of: Octopath Traveller, Mario + Rabbids, Undertale or even Pokemon.

Alternatively, you could play boardgames with a non-dominant hand or get tabletop simulator on steam to play against people on the internet.

    • Oh my god you're right I totally discounted the jrpg category.
Already own octopath and a couple others think we may have Mario Rabbids.
I'll definitely get back to the RPGs and check out e-store for the ff9 and others.
Good idea a mate n I used to play d n d over the internet and had risk going every so often…wonder what he's up to haha
