Anyone Know How Much Is It to Fix The Oven Temperature Sensor

So our oven is going crazy that it keeps heating until everything get burnt.

I was wondering if anyone knows how much is it to replace the temperature Sensor. Our model is Simpson 63c906s.

I have checked the price for the parts, it sounds rediculous price and it maynot just be the only issue.

So if I am buying a new oven, I am not sure how much does it cost for the installation. Where should I look for these people? Airtasker? But how much is a resonable price?

Thanks

Looks like a new genuine thermostat is about $120 from sites like BigWarehouse Spares or Statewide Appliance Spares. Much cheaper than buying a whole new oven + installation.

Saying that how old is the oven? Are you due to replace it anyway? If yes and you can afford to do so than I would replace the whole thing. You would pay somewhere from $150 to $200 I would think for a straight forward install (maybe cheaper from air tasker but make sure you choose somebody with the appropriate experience and insurance).

  • Can also use TGG intallation services - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/home-services

  • Just had it done on Electrolux. $250. But not a Simpson, but would think similar cost. Also had the light globe replaced. That hadn't worked for years.
