[Resolved] NetGear Orbis - Wi-Fi Keeps Dropping out

Hello again OzBargain.
My Orbis now seem to “reboot” randomly usually around the night, I think this may be linked to updates as I’ve only had the issues since updating the Orbis, does anyone know a way to fix this?

Resetting the Orbi’s a few times seemed to do the trick.

  • I suggest that you roll back to a previous version of the firmware, that usually fixes update issues, if that's what is causing your problem.

  • downgrade to previous firmware update.

    make sure dtim interval and beacon interval are set to 1 and 100 (or even 50 for beacon interval in this circumstance)

    If resolved from firmware downgrade, set the above to 4 and 500/550

    • Where do I find the dtim/beacon interval?

      • I looked around online…looks like that part is not configurable. It would be from your exisiting modem/router of which this device extends around your household though.

  • Best thing I ever did was sell off my Orbi system and move to Ubiquiti
