The s5e is on sale for $454.30 but is currently out of stock in the Samsung education store.

Funny post by OP, but agree with him that it's a great tablet.
It's one of the thinnest and lightest 10" tabs around and even still has great battery life too.
Got one on Monday for my elderly mum with hard hearing, so the great sound from the quad AKG tuned speakers were more desirable as the new S6 Lite's stereo speakers and that is thicker and heavier too.
Had to unfortunately pay the full $649 price for it at HN as most places are sold out and no longer stocking let alone discounting this model.
I'm wondering if the low/no stock is a lull due to no manufacturing or if its actually has been discontinued. I really want one but I know as soon as I do at $649 it will be below $500 again on sale afterwards. Sods law.
So discovered that this has in fact been discontinued as per the big retailers here. Ended up getting a 128GB WiFi for $644 yesterday at HN. Couldn't see the s6 being discounted heaps any time soon so pulled the trigger.
Good luck to anyone still looking for one. HN were willing to do the 64GB for $540 for display stock only and JB went as low as $590 for 64GB.
Curious how you found out it was discontinued in major retailers, and even more curious to find out why? No stock anywhere it seems atm.

I purchased a new Samsung galaxy tablet s5e TN725 64gb 4gb ram through Facebook at Christmas. Got it for a good price $400.
I absolutely love it! I never wanted an Spen because I thought I would lose it or never use it. I was looking at the S4 for a long time.
The s5e has awesome graphics and sound and it is very fast.
Great for Netflix and any video I have tried. It's like a great small tv, large phone combination. Got a USBC hub to HDMI and can watch the NRL on my tv through the Telstra app.
Couldn't recommend it more highly.
Do yourself a favour and get one.
PS. I was lucky enough to get the 725 that has LTE but wifi runs good through hotspot.
