Any Tyres Sale 225/65/17? May 2020

Hi guys

My Cx-5 has done 45k kms on it and tyres need replacing.

Does anybody here work at tyres store etc and know when will there be a sale soon?

myCar has offered Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season for $861 and Continental UltraContact® UC6 SUV for $765 fitted with wheel alignment. I've checked tempetyres, jax and tryolla and got myCar to match tempetyres. I had $650 in mind (I missed the amex offer!) so trying to find bargains.

I am looking at myCar because they have a tyre care plan. Does any other brand offer such a tyre care plan?

Thanks for your help

Thanks

    • Does it matter if you get your car fitted with 102H when the car door says 102V?

Continentals sound like a good price. We had that size on our old Rav4, I paid just over $1k for a set of General Grabber AT3s (USA operations of Continental), but AT tyres are more expensive than highway tyres.

  • Check Goodyear as they often do 4 for the price of 3.

    • is goodyear a good brand?

Had no issues with the set I had (low profile performance tyres). They're pretty well known and I haven't heard anecdotal cases against them in my time.

  • Can try looking at the Bridgestone sales

    • 102 is the tyre load index and corresponds to 850kg per tyre.

H and V are speed ratings, with H being 210 km/h and V being 240 km/h. So unless you are going to be exceeding 210 km/h, there isn't any real world difference.
