      Perhaps the lifetime of the RAM is expected to be one year

      my guess is that its 1 year as in to standard or rated efficiency and life time is to that its still works, might have bad sections therefore will be less performance like everything in life it ages.

        He probably got that corsair 2x8gb 2666 kit from amazon that was on this site a month ago

        I got that one in this new system I just built. I'm suspicious that it is fake ram just because it was so cheap compared to everything else on the market currently (especially since its a proper brand) but I haven't ever seen anything about fake ram online and it seems to work fine.

    Is there a typo here?
    My understanding was that PC3-10600 was 1333MHz and PC3-12800 was 1600MHz.
