Finally! Such a relief Canon have solved this problem - I'm so sick of arguing with with friends about who gets to keep the photo.

    • I know huh? They really need to hurry up and invent an electronic photo sharing platform already

  • Now waiting for Amazon to do the same.

  • +1

Bought one, hope it isn't a price error

    • It's not :) check the list of other store with the same price :)

Great Mother's day present, thanks guys

am I reading that right? looks like one guy bought 20, and another bloke bought 4?

  • Looks like the Bing Lee store is out of stock!

Amazon appears to have compatible ZINK sheets pretty cheap: $19.20 for 150 sheets:

Polaroid 2x3 inch Premium Zink Photo Paper (150 Sheets) - Compatible

    • +1

how do u know it's compatible?

      • how do u know it's compatible?

        This.

I upvoted before looking at the page where it only mentions Polaroid

        • MULTI-CAMERA COMPATIBILITY - Compatible with Polaroid SNAP Instant Print Camera, Polaroid Snap Touch Instant Print Digital Camera, Polaroid ZIP Mobile Photo Printer, and more.

      • +4

how do u know it's compatible?

Because the camera specs said "Uses 2x3" Zink paper". Regardless of the brand, Zink 2x3 paper should be compatible with devices printing Zink 2x3. It's like saying a camera uses AA batteries, so any AA brand would fit.

        • Has anyone used this photo paper?

  • Thanks seems like a great deal!

  • Are these just like a basic Selphy printer with a camera built in?

    • +1

      And a ring light

      • +2

Selphy printers use ink and paper.

This uses ZINK sheets (i.e. no ink)

  • +2

Out of stock. Some broden bought 20units on ebay

    • Still available on catch for the moment

    • +3

guess we will see that seller listing on ebay soon. Really pisses me off

  • Good find - I'd still prefer fuji instax over others, papers more readily available.

    • Any ZINK sheet (correct size) will work. Poloroid/fuji also makes Zink sheets.

  • picked up in Rhodes store, not price error

    • Is available in store as well?

      • +1

not sure if there are any stocks left in store, I just went there to pick up my order, took 2 mins and no question asked

  • looks like out of stock - Ozbargained. Good deal anyways - thanks op

    • Yeah, Looks like. :)
      Thanks

      • You just helped this guy to become richer :D

@shahrah: unless all stores start clearing them out then he/she is left with 20 cameras

            • @mrshorty: Good point, I hope so =D

            • @mrshorty: People will still buy it for $49. He will definitely make money here.

Thanks for the post, I ordered one and used my $20 eBay plus trial voucher to order some extra paper.

    • kicking myself for not ordering through ebay with a $5 voucher. would have had to find another $1 item to hit the $50 though so i guess it's not the end of the world!

    • I got this code, but where can I find it again to use it? It doesn't seem to be automatically there.

      • Mine was there in checkout

  • Don't think it's an error. Sometimes suppliers are so overstocked because their sales team can't forecast properly or they have no spine and pander to the factory to buy more than they need. They are also hoping to get you with very expensive ink and paper.

  • +2

thanks for the deal OP, been meaning to check out the instant cameras but ~$100 for the instax was a bit steep for just interest. This canon is a steal at $49, 2 year warranty, 50 sheets for ~$24.50 locally. It also seems to be the only model (at least that i've seen) of instant camera with smart phone connectivity to use it as just a printer, set timers and filters, micro sd to save images without needing to print them (could get them off the sd card and transfer to your phone to then print later from your phone - i don't think it can file transfer from the sd card to the phone over bluetooth+app, but having micro sd would give you that workaround to print later!), and usb rechargeable battery.

I'm excited to pick mine up.

    Available again at ebay :/

    Edit: listing ended!

  • From ebay:

This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

    Maybe was infact an error?

    edit
Came back in stock at Bing Lee website and was able to buy one, so IDK

  • Officeworks has stock price match

    • Will they price match since it's out of stock at BL?

  • Bargain even for the printing function alone. I am going to use this as a low cost instant photo printer for my smart phone (the Inspic camera function is too rudimentary) :-)

  • in stock again, grab one from Catch

    • +1

Link to the item just redirects to the main page and not appearing in the search results?

      • i did search from catch website. maybe they changed item number

        • So did i, no results for this item.

  • +1

Here's an idea for those who are wondering what to do with the TGG $20 credit expiring soon (from the botched Google Hub Max deal) and just bought this Canon. They have the HP Zink 20-pack for $13

    • Do they suit this camera?

      • I'm under the impression that all 2x3" sticky-backed Zink papers will work, but on the item's description it says :
        * The peel-and-stick backing turns your favourite photos into fun stickers* Smudge-proof, water-resistant, and tear resistant * Prints using ZINK ZERO INK Printing Technology from ZINK* Fun 2 x 3 inch (5 x 7.6-cm) size, exclusively for HP Sprocket and HP Sprocket 2-in-1.

        • I believe they are all compatible, just promoting and making it sound like you must buy their own camera/printer. Just like the Polaroid Zink paper above, which made it seem that you must use Polaroid camera/printer.

          • @Buy2Much: Thanks, pity I don’t have a good guys voucher but very happy with the camera at this price

  • How long would dispatch take, hasn’t been sent yet has anyone’s ?
