Finally, dress shoes I can wear. Never learnt how to tie my shoes. It's my secret shame.

  • Not even if they paid me

  • Awesome, that’s grandad’s Christmas present sorted.

    These or ultraboost 19s?

Why do people mock these ? They aren’t for you, it’s for people
With limited motor function. Not for you to mock

Are they? What makes them so?

it’s often wider fit so easier to put on and take off, and also if feet swell in summer, and velcro is easier to do up for people with arthritis, who know how to tie laces but it’s painful to do so.

Do I need a prescription for these?

    • no, you select pair that fit.

  • OP… serious question: are these good if you're on your feet all day at work? Thanks.

    • i wear new balance EEEE 624, very comfortable, there is this huge range of “dad shoes” e.g nike air monarch, new balance 624 ( rebel sell them) and it seems celebrities wear them because they are very comfortable, google “dad shoes nike air monarch” ….. possible because they make them in normal, EE, EEEE fittings. can’t get air monarch in australia anymore so new balance is next best thing …..

624 also comes as a non slip version for targeted at people in health care work and hospitality, can’t get wide fittings in australia though.

      • Will check them out, thanks for the recommendation

    • @eediot: I am not sure but I have heard good reviews about these shoes. Especially for the people working and walking during the shift such as health care worker, hospitality or may be for council inspectors. It's for them those cannot wear informal shoes but require comfortness and lot of walking involve.
Normally stores charge around $200-$250 for that sought of material and quality. There is no iota of doubt it's recommend by ortho and podiatrist for special needs. I don't think it's bad choice for normal person. Definately not for saturday night.

      • Thank you for replying, I'll read up on them a bit more.
