Reusable Nappies / Disposable Liner Options?

Hi all,

Bought a few different brands of reusable nappies, but now looking for options to make them easier. What's the go with disposable liners? What brands are truely flushable? Don't want to cause a sewer disaster.

Are there any hacks? The inside of a nappy/ washable insert looks pretty close to a toilet paper width. Can you get 'poo predictive' and simply line it with TP at these times etc?

None. They will flush but they don't disintegrate like toilet paper does.

I tried a few of the liners with my daughter when she was about 10-12 months old. They're rubbish. As soon as the baby is mobile and wriggling about lots they just bunch up or start falling apart.

Washing pooey nappies really isn't that much of a big deal, just skip the liners in my opinion.

  • I agree with the above comments, I will just add 2 suggestions. 1, we had a bunch of 2nd hand brands to try and our favourite (the one we bought a full set of) had snaps instead of velcro. Velcro is the worst, especially in the washing machine. 2, try putting the insert outside of the nappy, meaning the insert is directly contacting baby's butt. Makes it easier to clean and also a time-saver not having to put the insert in and out every time.

    • Any idea what the brand was that you bought with the snaps?

      • The brand was Babyland and it was on Aliexpress. The listing we bought from is gone now but the same thing is now selling here. You can see the designs are really good. They are high quality prints and material. They are good cloth nappies but… to be honest the disposable Aldi nappies are just too convenient.

  • @tunzafun001 - Did you end up figuring out what your favourite brand of resuable nappy was?

    • Bare and boho are pretty good. They have an extra side wing bit. But can be a disadvantage if they are running around as it can get scrunched up.

Aldi sold some cheap. Just as good as any other.

All pretty good to be honest and way less stress than I thought it would be. No inserts required really. I can wrangle a turd with the best of them. Bin em, flush em, bury under the rose garden and then into a bucket of hot water. Then wash.

We still use disposable boys nappies at night as they last longer and she sleeps on her stomach. So a boys nappy has more absorbance in the front.
