Tough crowd here, love a good Aperol Spritz. Thanks OP!

    • Precisely… I feel sorry for those who have not discovered the joy of an Aperol Spritz on a hot summers' day

  • Have never taste test. Does this taste the same as dubonet?

Reading the description, I don't think so. Give it a go, with some prosecco.

p.s. Lots of ice and a nice hot sunny day really help.

and a nice hot sunny day

Where can I get one of those?

Aperol & prosecco = really good combo (it's called spritz)

        WHAT YOU NEED:
        - Aperol
        - Italian Prosecco (Australian Prosecco works well too)
        - Soda Water (I'd say optional)
        - Ice
        - Orange (Valencia is best) (I'd say optional)

HOW TO MAKE A PERFECT APEROL SPRITZ
        - Fill a large wine glass – about 420ml with ice
        - Combine Italian Prosecco, followed by Aperol in equal parts
        - Add a splash of soda water
        - Garnish with an orange wedge. Salute!
        (from their website - https://www.aperolspritz.com.au/recipe/making-aperol-spritz-…)

Adding plain vodka is also named "wrong spritz" (some people like it that way for various reasons)

Can anyone suggest a good Prosecco at DM for a Spritz?

          • +1

@rooon: I went with the Aussie one on member offer and also an Italian classic.

If you're really not sure get the gift pack. Works out to be a reasonable price.

Thanks. Picked up 6, my wife and sisters go though this like water!

    Don’t forget shop back.

    • Wow it said limit of 2 per customer? Which state are you in?

      • VIC. I noticed that but put in 6, paid and all went through OK. Got confirmation email ready for pickup.

      • +2

You can place multiple orders. DM don't care. It's just arbitrary bs

  • was almost about to buy this yesterday. nice. thanks

  • If anyone finds a decent price on Dom Benedictine, let me know. I used to buy it couple years back for $42, now it's $73 @ DM. Vintage Cellars sell it for $60, but they don't have stock, and my local DM wouldn't price match VC.

    • I picked some up at my local BWS on clearance for $39 a couple of months ago…

      • Are you addicted now?

        • It's glorious!

(Don't know where you are but I've found it on clearance in a couple of BWS stores around Melbourne. Unfortunately, other stores still charge full whack so it's trial and error where it can be found on special…)

          • @MELso: Perth; haven't seen it on special anywhere.

    • @ raybies Keen to try this - how do you drink it ?

      • Straight… it's VERY sweet, so I sip it slowly.

Pubs and bars charge $15 for an Aperol Spritz, definitely an easy drink to make and enjoy at home.

Got one! Happy Mother’s Day to me - and all the other ozB mums!

    Wow that's pricey.

Anyways what do you call a person who drinks Victoria bitter while walking in the morning, saying high to everyone, even the person robbing the bank.
