Replacement of a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Screen

I need to replace the screen on my Samsung s10 plus.

I am deciding whether to take it to Samsung or a local repair store.

Has anyone had any experience with using a local repairer for an s10 plus? Was the screen of the same quality, or could you tell it was a replacement?

Obviously all local repair stores would be different, but just looking at getting some general feedback.

Check and compare the prices, a few years back, I went the samsung route as it was only a few dollars extra to a 3rd party when I needed to replace a screen. Felt it would be a better screen/repair.

    • Thanks Jimmy

  • Just my 2c
I tend to not go third party route, as High quality oled is hard to source, even if high quality it’s more likely to be refurbished which can be said as used, and we all know that oled is prone to burn in and used would increase that. I’d say go with Samsung as it cost $400. You’d get new display and keep your water resistant.

    • Thanks for the feedback .. I went with Samsung in the end

  • Does touch still work and no lines on the screen? If so then you can get glass only replacement, I paid $259 for glass only at a third party place. I think Samsung charge around $300 for full-screen replacement but mine was grey import so they refused to repair. Most third party repairers use the same parts anyway, but only really worth it if they are cheaper. I am never buying curved edge Samsung again.

    • Thanks Nubzy, unfortunately it was also the screen..
