I'd be very suspicious of the copper base for this price.

    Here's one scathing review
"Bought this set about a month ago, first use was sunday night just passed, copper has completelyndisappeared, and pan is completely black, you cannot lift it off"

I’ve seen these on eBay for same price, great for the amount of items you get , and not bad for quality, would recommend for a basic , but definitely better then bigw brand cookware set .

  • Based and redpilled?

I bought a set of these about 18 years ago and only just this year has the copper plating started to come away a little bit from the bottom of a few of them. Apart from that I'm pretty happy with how long they have lasted.

I'm with you there, but I think that these are a different design that the ones we bought decades more more ago.

I bought an Essteele Australis 20cm (3L) saucepan for mum last week which cost $110 on sale, so these are not in the same range.

That's the thing with cookware, why buy basic to last a few years when you get spend twice as much and last decades.

I recently got these and I'm not sure how I feel about them.

I have a saucepan my dad gave to me when I moved out at 18. I'm 42 now.
It's still in good condition, very minor stains. It's gotta be near 1.2mm thick steel.

I recently bought this raco set and I've got small dark stains forming inside the steel in the pans.
One, totally my fault, I boiled water, forgot - made a right mess of it.

The other 2 though, different story. For lack of a better word the small dark stains look almost like mold (it's not mold) - it'sl ike the steel has been compromised. The main one with these marks I've specifically been very careful with to look after.

My point, mentioning the pan earlier? I looked at it thinking "man this has lasted a long time" and it has Raco on the handle. I'm guessing they just import from China.

Oh and they're probably .8mm thick no where near as thick as my older one. - The metal has a slightly more dull and 'unpolished' look to the newer ones.
For $89 - I don't hate them at all, but I'm not sure this is going to last a lifetime. Mine are staining at 3 month mark.

  • I'm not sure how this is a deal. Raco inflate their rep more than any other kitchen brand (including baccarat). It's $89 at a few other stores and even $99 on their own website.

    • I am not sure where you looked but the google shopping comparison the only sellers at $89 at those from Victoria's Basement. It might not be Essteele or Allclad but I think that is a very affordable price for a copper base if you compare it to the other options available on the market.

  • Suitable for all stove tops, excluding induction.

So suitable for all stove tops except the ones which people are most commonly buying.
