Where Can I Buy Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G Snapdragon Import ?

Hello Guys,

I have weighed all my options and have decided to go with the Snapdragon version. However I have 2 issues here

  1. Where can I buy from. Any one with genuine links?

  2. What version of S20 Plus is compatible with our 5G band (n78). I thought it was the HK version SM-G9860 but I saw someone on whirlpool who bought it but it doesn't support n78 band. Anyone know the actual version to buy and where I can get it from?

I appreciate any help. Thank you.

  • Looking for the same (maybe without 5G). Believe the Snapdragon is only sold in US/Canada/Korea. And even in these country not all have them so you need to read the description carefully.

www.Ebay.com is so far the best/only one I have found (would be great to learn about others).

Have a look here for compatibility: https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/AU/samsung-gala…

  • I'm 99% sure only the Korean version supports all the 4g and 5g bands required for all Australian networks.

that's the one I am thinking of. Does it need to be compatible with all 4G and 5G bands in Australia - or isn't one sufficient?

  • thats the bands for it:

    2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
    3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100
    4G bands LTE band B1 (2100), B2 (1900), B3 (1800), B4 (1700/2100AWS), B5 (850), B7 (2600), B8 (900), B12 (700), B13 (700), B18 (800), B19 (800), B20 (800), B25 (1900), B26 (850), B28 (700)
    TDD B34 (2010), B38 (2600), B39 (1900), B40 (2300), B41 (2500)
    5G Bands Sub6 N41 (2500), N78 (3500), N79 (4500)
    * (make sure your carrier support the 5G bands)

    • Yes B28 and N78 are the 4G and 5G bands required for Australia. So this one has both.

  • I'm also looking for S20+ Snapdragon version.

Saw the G9860 model on eBay but unsure about it: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-Galaxy-S20-Plus-Dual…

I don't really need 5G (which the Snapdragon version supports), and it won't work here. At-least 4G (on Boost/Telstra prepaid) will work with an imported model, and battery life and performance will be better compared to the Exynos model.

Trying to find a reliable seller offering the Snapdragon version for around AU $1200, rather than spending more on a local Exynos model ($1344 at Officeworks as of today).

  • Does Samsung Pay work on imported Samsung phones?

    • I don't think so, but I think google pay should work.

      • I don't see why not?
