    spam?

    no deal listed

  • Sorry for the noob question, how is this better than a USB C to HDMI cable?

    • Power pass through if your laptop supports 60W USB-C PD… or for Nintendo Switch I guess?

    • for one USB-C input you get USB-C, HDMI and 2x USB-A outputs

      • It works with Nintendo switch and won't brick your switch

Yup this is not a deal if everywhere is selling it at the same price!

    • If it goes on sale everywhere at the same time I don’t see why that doesn’t still make it a sale, just gives you options to buy it from where you prefer.

    • I kinda think it's a deal cause it's been listed over $100 few months ago when I was looking for a USB dock.

However, even at this price, I still think there are better deals elsewhere especially since this one doesn't have enough USB slots or memory cards that other people (including me) might need. I think this is only worth it if you're looking for a portable Switch dock from a reputable brand.

    • It's not this price everywhere though. E.g. eBay. Otherwise we wouldn't be allowing Coles or Woolies deals.

    • It's an Aten rep saying it's on special at a few stores, PCCG (and others) have it for $129

@Finerthings: Take it easy, it might seem like he's gone but he might just return in a couple of days and surprise us all

          @infra just scroll past.

Otherwise you are trying to change other peoples behaviours to match your beliefs.

          • @unifex: Actually I'm just asking them to be considerate of other people's beliefs. I didn't do it in a nasty or attacking way so why all the obnoxious replies?

            • @infra: How about you respect our belief of not believing in imaginary magical friends, and you not somehow turn a post about cheap gadgets into a religious debate.

              • @dav3: There is no religious debate. There is however people like you who dont care about what other people believe and think they have the right to insult other peoples beliefs however they choose. Then call foul when they are asked not to. I'm not asking you to believe. I'm not saying you dont have a right not to believe. Why use the name Jesus if you dont believe in him anyway?

          • @unifex: If the reason to respect others is only because of Christian beliefs then yes I am asking him to change his behaviour to match my belief. If however you dont need to be religious to respect others and their beliefs then you are wrong.

Any recommended USB-C KVMs for two computers?

  • Is there a USB-C to Display Port option?
I have an older Dell monitor with DisplayPort and resolutions > FHD are only supported on DisplayPort connection :-(.

    • Amazon has a listing for $16 or so

  • Can this be used for two screens, HDMI on the laptop, and second HDMI on the dock?

    • I also need to know this. Got my first laptop with usb c enroute and need to connect two monitors. It's a Dell Inspiron 7000

    • yes that is an operating system function

    • Yep, using HDMI from dock and laptop HDMI simultaneously is fine

    • If your laptop supports video output via it's USB-C port (DP Alt Mode), then this will work fine
