Has anyone gotten anything better than purple items from the chest?
Occasionally I get an orange (but mostly purple). Even then it's not as good as what you pick up from enemy drops, especially with Loot the Universe + Mayhem going on
Yes. I've gotten Legendary items, but not a lot. However, once you reach the highest levels (Lvl 53-57) you may have seen the majority of Legendaries already, especially if you've played through any of the Loot Frenzy events (where you seriously fill your backpack with nothing BUT Legendary items and you find you're deciding which ones to chuck out…). So, it gets to a point where you need to compare stats to keep the one that suits you best.
Yeh. I find these chest has been very unrewarding late game. I only got the game on steam sale 2 weeks ago, so havent done any events yet.

For those of you who use Discord, I developed (back in September 2019) a bot that searches for (via hourly scheduled web-scraping), archives, and shares BL3 Golden Keys with users upon request. From memory, the sources that were producing the most keys were Twitter accounts (@dgshiftcodes and @duvalmagic). It's worth noting there may be non-BL3 Golden Keys in the list, as the patterns are identical across all of the BL games. Finally, "!goldenkey all" is broken currently, due to the Discord message limit of 2000 characters, so I'll need to add logic to split the list into multiple messages. I'm hoping I'll have time to rectify this next week.
I have so many keys!!! I should probably play the game one day 😂
