ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II (US English)

I was looking for a laptop style keyboard. After searching on internet, it felt like probably nothing exists what I was after. Most keyboards I found were mostly mechanical KBs. Then I thought Lenovo is known for its keyboards. So upon checking their website, it turns out they have recently released this version which has USB C, Bluetooth/Wireless capabilities which fits the purpose. One important thing missing is its not backlit.

I jumped on to their chat service and was able to get it for $130. RRP is $179. Also have got $5.20 tracked via Cashrewards.
Hope this helps someone looking for this keyboard.

what is the advantage of this for a desktop computer?

    • Not sure. I wasn't comfortable having my work laptop connected via cables and have its screen angled back to avoid blocking my monitor etc. Also if I want to move my keyboard, it meant moving the whole laptop everytime.

      wireless vs wired

      • Yes!!

        • And this one has USB C.

      • This is wireless-only keyboard with non-replaceable battery, with following (IMO) unappealing caveats:

        • When the keyboard is fully charged, it is recommended that you disconnect the charging cable from the keyboard. Keeping the charging cable connected to the keyboard will not keep on charging. To charge the keyboard for another time, reconnect the charging cable to the keyboard.
        • It is recommended that you charge the battery at least one time in every six months.

At half price, wired version may be better alternative.

  • Was that $130 delivered?

  • What did you say to the Chat Service to get it for $130?

    • Just ask for best price. They might offer a $10/$20 discount. Push little further. You might get this or even a better price. Just keep in mind that this one in particular has around 3-4 weeks ETA.

      • ok cool cheers.

  • Has your keyboard arrived? Is it good?

    • Hey, Sorry. I had to cancel the order as the delivery was being pushed forward. Went with MX Keys.

  • I just purchased this through their chat. I got it for 140

  • Got it for $126 trying to price match Amazon

  • Scored it for $126, delivery included, price matching against the Amazon US listing. Caveat is it has to be through the online chat. I had issues getting the chat to work so I tried calling Lenovo but got shot down pretty quick by the customer service rep. If anybody has issues getting the online chat to work on their browser (mine's Chrome), initiating a session in Incognito Mode worked for me.
