Never owned a robot vacuum before, but from what I’ve seen the roborock S50 would be a good option for my massive carpet. So far I’ve been using a profesional backpack model with mobile rollers to remove the pet hair. So I’ll be happy if a robot vacuum Reduces the frequency of my duty.
Should I wait for it to be <$500 again? Is it any other model that I should consider?

I bought S50 for 470 from livingaustralia website around 1 month ago. It works perfectly.

I thought the S50 was end of life, so no new stock?
Got an S50, very happy with it but it takes a while and gets tangled with long blonde hair.
I'd get an S60 if you can spend the bit extra.
I use the S50 every 3 days, it does a better job than our hoover which I barely use now.
Still need to use a portable vacuum for some areas the robot can't reach.
Our old Xiaomi robot vacuum does pretty great with dog hair on a tiled house. Not sure about how good it would do removing pet hair from the carpet though.
