65-75" TV Recommendations (Budget Now $2000)

Hi all,

Our TCL 50" from the Harvey Norman deal about 5 years ago died today :(

Reaching out to the OzBargain community for recommendations on a 65-75" TV at around $2000. Don't really have a preference between LCD or OLED, but would prefer to stick with the "bigger brands" for longevity.

TV is really only used for watching sports and Netflix - would like some built in apps/smart TV features, but not a deal breaker given we use fetch TV and Chromecast currently. Thinking we may need to hold out for some EOFY deals?

Thanks :)

You're not going to get an OLED for that price range. Get a basic Sony/LG or a Hisense if you want value for money.

5 years is a good lifespan, hisense maybe at 65" at that price range if you can find an incredible deal.

TCL 75" P8M for about $1300 or $950 factory second of gumtree. If you were happy with previous TCL i think 5 years is ok for a cheap tv.

Tcl p8s right now or waiting on a deal eofy hopefully we see some sub 1000 65”

  • Thanks all - might hold off and see if a decent deal comes up for EOFY :)

  • After going to have a look at some TVs at JB, TGG and HN this arvo we have decided to up our budget to around $2k and get a 75”

Currently considering out of LG, Samsung or Sony - but with Sony probably have to stick to 65”

2 of the ones I am considering are:

    LG 75UN8100PTB $1960

Samsung UA75TU8000WXXY $1894 - after $250 MasterCard cash back this is based on appliances online “price matching” 13it.com.au at their best price of $2144 with free shipping.

Any advice on the above or other models we should consider would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
