DeLonghi Coffee Machine Parts? Stuck on Heating up Mode

Delonghi perfecta is stuck on heating up mode. I suspect a fuse or element has died??

Anyone got a source for cheap thermal fuses / triacs? Or even the elements/ thermoblock ?

Cheers

  • Whats the model? Is it this one?

Once you find the part you want, start googling it….. Lots of places sell coffee machine parts, including sellers on ebay.

    • Cheers. Good schematic. Just got the multi meter out and the element is dead (looks like they list the hole thing as a "generator").

      • The generator is the secondary steam generator. There is a second thermoblock for brewing.

I've had good prices from the Crema Coffee Garage. Note they have mopre parts than are listed on their website. Send an email and ask for the part and they will source it. They also do servicing and repairs.

        • Cheees, i thought that was the case as the thermoblock is listed as 600w, yet back panel says 1350w. Is the second thermoblock underneath / back to back? Or maybe hidden away near steam wand. Either way, the top element on the thermoblock is 0 ohm, so is defintely this element at least that is dead

        • Scrap that, just looked at the schematic and read up. This unit only has one thermoblock (so must have 2 elements inside).

Go get an Aldi Coffee pod machine - only $89
And a great selection of lovely tasting coffee as well - 16pk for $6.00 and they stay fresh for years in the sealed pods

God no. Why would you move from a real bean to cup machine to a shitty pod thing?

      • I refilled my pod machine with fresh ground beans for years, which works well. If you cut out a yoghurt alfoil lid into a circle, it makes for a lid you can use 20 or so times no problems.

However, baby on way…want coffee with uber ease!

  • Is it heating up at all?

    • Nah, no heating. Element is open circuit, so definitely dead.

  • As an Ozbargain tip for anyone looking at this in the future, it looks like the auto machines use the same thermoblock / element as the cheaper Nespresso units. So I'm going to pick up a cheap nespresso unit for $20 and use the thermoblock from that.

*Apparently there is a 5mm and 6mm version. Not sure how you tell yet, but be mindful of that.
