Anyone Here Drink Tea/Coffee Have Good Recommendations?

Hi all, a bit off topic but interested to hear the ozbargains community who prefers coffee or tea more?

I personally prefer Coffee (mochas are my fav) but I've been drinking more and more tea since I've been staying home with covid. Mostly green, but I went to T2 a while back and they gave me some tea, but I felt it wasn't much better then this random tea box I bought from Coles.

Interested to know if anyone has any tea recommendations, or even interesting coffee orders that surprisingly tasted good?

    • I like this stuff but too sugary and expensive to be drinking frequently.

    • Oh cool, didn't know there was something with both, looks tasty though.

      • tea is a combination of different black teas and coffee is of the instant variety .

the taste differs from shop to shop as their ratios are different and not exactly the same.

evaporated and condensed milk is also used.

Dilmah black tea half price at Coles until today

    • Interesting, I've never actually tried black tea, I might give it a go this weekend.

    Nerada tea - aussie grown.
I buy the box of 200 for $4 (note they don't have string, so scoop out of the mug with a spoon)
    .

  • Need the pole option for both! I cold brew my tea and coffee but will have a hot one when I've been too lazy to prepare the day before.

I've tried a few different coffee beans from the various deals and I think my preference is the beans from the manna beans deals, the value is hard to beat.

For tea I like to buy the Ito En loose leaf green tea grown in Australia.

  • Bushells Tea and International Roast Coffee.

    Hands down the best.

I drive past Coffee joints and laugh.

      Because they have mirrored windows?

        No at all the tossers.

    • Because alone they taste bad, but mixed together less worse?

    • Bushells Tea and International Roast Coffee.

I knew someone who would drink ONLY Intl Roast Coffee, like wouldn't even drink water, he'd have it with meals and everything.

    • depends on the time of day
    • depends on whether there is any food accompanying
    • depends on the cuisine
    • depends on the weather
    • depends on who is making it.

    too many variables. taste varies.

  • I usually just have a cap/latte whenever I buy or make coffee. If I want something a bit more decadent I'll go for a "Mallowcino" at the Coffee Club (yes I know they get a bad wrap for coffee). It's basically a cappuccino with two marshmallows on top.

In terms of tea I enjoy Rooibos or French Earl Grey the most.

Overall I drink and like coffee more.

  • This is one of my favourite tea: https://www.koalatea.com.au/shop/organic-eucalyptus-tea/

Got some from a souvenir shop in GC, not sure where to get them normally.

I mostly drink Dilmah tea. I used to have my tea with lots of milk and 3 sugars but these days I drink it black with no sugar.

I also like drinking Chai Latte or Matcha Latte.

I don't drink coffee at all.

  • I only drink Yorkshire tea. Don't drink instant coffee.

    Rooibos Tea

^ this. I recently tried some rooibos and loved it. Also Darjeeling tea is amazing.

  • Try Indian and Chinese grocers for some great cheap teas.

    Some of my favourites:
    * Jasmine tea
    * Ginger tea
    * Black loose leaf tea (from an Indian grocer - changed my life, tea bag tea so weak and flavourless now except for Dilmah extra strength)

  • Voted other as I am about 50/50 between coffee and tea. Preference is green tea bags, not fussed what brand and Lavazza Oro through a drip filter. Nothing flash, just how I prefer it.
