So,my sisters laptop is having the repair boot loop issue and i have tried a few options but can't get it to work.

She doesn't have the recovery disc either.

Did you check underneath the couch?

    • The product key you entered appears to be for software pre-installed by the device manufacturer. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options.

  • Did she even get a recovery disk? More likely to have a recovery partition on the HDD.

Might be better off updating to W10 which is fully supported with security fixes and updates.

    • How would i upgrade to windows 10 if the laptop keeps looping with the repair option?

      • Access the recovery partition for Windows 7 if possible then update.

Often you would burn a disc or USB key for a rainy day.. that few people bothered with.

Most laptops have a hidden recovery partition. You could boot into it by pressing (usually) F8, F10 / F12 during start-up then selecting the associated recovery partition to start the recovery process.

    • agreed, you'll be able to see it in Disk Management.

  • Would be useful to know the make and model of the laptop.

Some manufacturers provide the windows 7 installation file on their website.

  • Have you tried downloading the disk from the manufacturers website? Sometimes they offer it on their website.
