Is There a Way to Get US Netflix?

Hi Fellas,

I remember a couple of years ago, people in Australia were able to get access to the US version of Netflix by using a VPN. I have read that the US version has thousands more movies to choose from than Netflix.

I heard that using a VPN does not work anymore, although I don’t know the technical reasons why. Has anyone here managed to find a way to get access to the US version of Netflix in Australia?
Somebody else on a different website mentioned ‘Getflix’ but there were other websites that have written that Getflix doesn’t work anymore.

Any OzBargainers manage to find a way??

Can't help with a positive answer but can tell you the 10+ free vpns Ive tried don't work for us Netflix. Hope someone out there has an answer cause I'd like to not be geoblocked too.

    • Wow, it's that difficult to get huh? I guess Netflix has made it incredibly difficult (or impossible now….. yes i am hoping somebody out there has an answer!

Listen here, I just wanna watch movies my man. I'm not here to murder anyone sheesh!

      • Well, as long as you only want to watch rom-coms. Those action movies put funny ideas into people's heads!

It's just a joke, I could use some new content myself.

        • Oh haha my bad. I'm not very good at detecting these things on the internet :D

    • Dude. We just wanna watch the stuff we paid for. It's not like we can take a flight to the US and watch it legally right now even if we wanted to abide by geoblocking.

  • Netflix even removed the free trial

    • Oh snap I didnt even notice that. Thanks for the headsup. That's unfortunate

      • yes i joined and realised that not a month free anymore. So i have cancelled mine.

Been using dns4me for over 2 years now. $38 USD a year. Working great, and when Netflix cracked down on their DNS servers during the pandemic, they went and got a new server up and running. YMMV depending on your device though, Apple devices generally respect the DNS override, but certain set top boxes and game consoles will need static routes for US Netflix to work. Other than that, the US Netflix is far far superior in content to Australian Netflix. Good luck!

Hi fellas, i am going to try and wait for some more feedback and then give it a shot. After that i shall report back here about my mission to get US Netflix and will share my results!
    Thank all you kind souls.

  • We use ExpressVPN. When one stops working they quickly spin up another within a day usually. I can watch American Netflix whenever I want to. Not sure what it costs as my partner pays

  • PIA working perfect fine for US Netflix. Occasionally you have change server but never been blocked.

  • I am using star vpn on my mac.

  • My Getflix still works, on my laptops, computer and strangely enough the Netflix app that comes installed in my Samsung TV, but not for Chromecast. For $30ish a year, pretty happy with it.

Only US Netflix though. They used to be able to set heaps of different countries but they removed that when the proxy thing started

  • Windscribe works and not just for us netflix. Other VPNs still do work too.
