Looks like Seagull currently has some nice sales on their popular 1963 line. The sale seems to include most of the line except the Green Edition for whatever reason. Fairly tough watch to come by and they hold their value, watch reviewers rave about them. All watches should include the exhibition back case but don't quote me.

Unfortunately, there is Seagull, Sea-Gull, etc….. so look here as well https://www.aliexpress.com/store/5117082

Also look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFLqBdcbhkc which is 'Just One More Watch' where he looks at the different suppliers who sell homage versions of the real Seagull

    • For reference if anyone is interested, this store is featured at 9:08 in the video.

Hahhaa, yeah, the well-renowned watch brand of Seagull.
      No, Sea-Gull.
      Or SeaGull.

Well, anyway, that renowned brand :)

Given that we have proper brand watches going for less every week here on OZB, $400 for a pretty much no-name watch brand is rather a bad idea

The seagull 1963 is one of the most iconic and overhyped models of the last 5yrs. You only need to google and see all the youtube reviews.

Be that as it may its arguable value at $400 but there is literally no competition for an auto chrono at the price.

At about $250 off ali its a lot more attractive.

        Its also handwind.

My eta7750 chrono was well more than double.

        • And the resell value for your watch with the eta movement will be infinitely larger than the resell value of this "brand", which will hover around zero.
          Which one did you get?

  • These are sold in various locations. Not all are real SeaGull as pointed out above, but I'm sure they are pretty close.

At the above prices, Aliexpress might be be a cheaper alternative.

It's all about these case back with these. Personally, I stick to quartz chronos.

  • While half of Swiss watch manufacturers allegedly use Sea-Gull manufactured movements, so from technical point they're not so bad, even after years of trying Chinese still suck at branding.

    • Parts of the movement sure. Some Chinese part movements have Swiss parts added in Switzerland, like a Claro CL-888 which is derived from a Sea-Gull. I think half is an over exaggeration. Do you have a source?

  • wow these are getting expensive, i bought this model last year direct from china via Taobao for $175.
