Adjustable Desk for Working on a Bed

First time poster, sorry if this isn’t the right place for this

Like most people, I’ve recently started working from home, and was wondering if anyone had experience with adjustable laptop bed desks?
I saw one on Kogan for $39.99 (down from $130 apparently), but I don’t trust their 4+ star reviews as it looks quite cheap. Similarly there is one on catch for $30, but I have similar reservations about this (https://m.catch.com.au/product/matrex-i6-ergonomic-laptop-sm…).

Any suggestions/advice would be great. Not looking for anything that’s ridiculously expensive ($500+), but willing to pay for quality.

Thanks.

The hospital like ones? Or is that too bulky?

A bit too bulky! Something compact would be ideal. Similar to the catch/Kogan ones - but much better quality. Unless anyone can vouch for them?

Don't do it, you have to get out of bed every day.

    • Not for me; for a particularly stubborn parent. Easier to make it more comfortable than trying to convince them to get a proper desk

Oh well you should always state "asking for a friend" when posting on OzBargain that way we know you are really asking for a "friend".

All I can think of is op turning into Homer Simpson and wearing a mumu

People who work on a bed generally don't need a desk on it.

I have seen desks used but they are in later scenes.
