Agreed. The chests are really only good for making money, but even then you eventually reach a point where money is no longer a problem.
What I've also found is that the game also becomes too easy when using Golden Keys at a regular occurence.
I accumulated 60+ keys and so much money the game wouldn't count it anymore, then when the 2nd DLC dropped with the SDU upgrades I spent it all on that. So the golden keys would be good for earning money I suppose haha
One day I'll get far enough into the game that I can actually use the 50+ keys I have accumulated :)
1st (CB53B-WJTTJ-HJCZC-HBK3T-F3RX5) key not working for me, says 'failed to redeem'. 2nd one redeems fine.
Top tip, don't save your keys for lvl57 like I did, just use them. By the time you reach endgame you'll find much better gear than what can come from the golden chests.
