Good deal Hong Kong people need them now

Works out to be $60 for 15 months which is $4 per month.

FYI, $60 USD not $60 AUD

      •

Whoops, you’re right, in that case my numbers are off. 15 months for 99.95USD = 153.60AUD at current MasterCard rates. So works out to be $113.60 for 15 months, or $7.57 per month.

        It's not "$60 USD not $60 AUD". It's US$100 less AU$40.

With cashback, as per HB above, approx. AU $7.57 per month for 15 months.

Without cashback, $9.60 per month for 16 months (+ 1 free month to referrer). That's the better comparison between deal or no deal.

      That's in USD.

Since I am already a customer, if I make another account will this offer work?

  •

What do you guys use this for? Hulu?

  •

how is service compared to Nord, any shortcomings?

    • +2 votes

Pretty sure it's the top rated VPN service out there atm. Great customer service and fast speeds as well.

    •

I have used both and express is better, there are times where I have to disconnect nord vpn and reconnect to a different server to get faster speeds. Express is most of the time faster. But Nord is so cheap, I dont mind reconnecting if speeds are slow.

    •

I find it better than Nord, there’s a reason you can buy a handful of Nord logins on Redditbay for $1, but not Express VPN.

    •

I have Nord and it works well. I don't have express so can't comment on that.

I used both Expresses VPN is way way better than Nord

expressVPN is one of the good ones , fast , allows split tunnelling and not based in USA…it's just very expensive.

    • +1 vote

+1, their split tunnelling feature was the only one I found that actually worked unlike the one implemented in SurfShark, PureVPN.

I use windscribe for Netflix. Got the 3 year sub for not a lot , previous deal posted on ozb and it’s pretty fast once u start the stream is cloudy quality for 10 secs than it’s all good. Get access to Netflix USA. Idk if it works for amazon prime tho

  •

Does the cashback stack with referral?

    • +1 vote

No; during the sign up there is no way to put in your referral link; ive been with them for 3 years and been happy tho

"Cashback is eligible for new ExpressVPN customers only" My sub is expires in 2 days; does anyone know how to validate this? if its just via email ill just create a new email address.

Can this be used on a belong modem/router? Anyone tried?

    •

https://www.expressvpn.com/vpn-software/vpn-router; depends on your router you would have to look at the settings; theres a few guides there

    •

I don't believe the devices that Belong provide allow you to setup a VPN on them. You need to install the VPN software on all the devices that you would be using and connect each of them, remember that you can install the software on many devices but you'll only have a certain number of concurrent connections allowed.

    •

I purchased a Netgear nighthawk last week just so I could install expressvpn.

Installation went smoothly using their firmware.

The Expressvpn have firmware for some modems or you can manually enter the settings on a fair few modems if you follow their instructions.

I just got Nord VPN. I am had trouble using it for BBC iPlayer. They emailed me to switch connection to TCP but it slows the speed dramatically and the streams suffers a lot of intermittent buffering. Not sure if express VPN will eliminate this problem. I don't mind joining Express VPN if I can access BBC iPlayer. Anyone can give me some advice?

    •

I haven't used BBC iPlayer, however, I find expressVPN much faster than the nordVPN. Best thing is to start a 7 day trial and test it out with your apps?

  •

Those using expressvpn for USA Netflix are you using mediastreamer? Normally I get 95mbps (no VPN), when I use expressvpn using Sydney server about 30mbps, and USA server 5 to 10 Mbps. At this spread Netflix buffers and streams in low quality. If I connect using mediastreamer I can get 70mbps but Netflix hangs and won't open. My setup is FTTP, and using a Nighthawk running expressvpn firmware. Any ideas? ExpressVPN support haven't given helpful suggestions so far.

Can't speak highly enough of this VPN. Used it for 12 months and was perfect. Only downside is that it's quite expensive. This is a decent deal but I've since gone to surfshark and it's just as good if not better for half the price.

  •

I’ve tried the top 4 VPNs (Express, Nord, Cyberghost and Surfshark). ExpressVPN is the most expensive but it’s also the best.

The custom router firmware is excellent, I’m using this on a Linksys WRT1900ACS. It allows quick and easy changing of servers as well as split tunnelling per connected device… you can direct each device through either VPN, direct, or mediastreamer.

I use the Mediastreamer selection for US Netflix and there’s no drop in speed from my direct internet connection.

    Highly recommended.

This is a great VPN, rarely on special. Thanks OP!

  •

I had this 1 year ago. Would I be classified as a new customer if I rejoined?

  •

This is the real shizz. My hotstar would struggle on some shows with windscribe. But this one is just butter. Impressed!

  •

How does the extra 3 months work? Have signed up through CR but only got 12 months.

    •

Button at bottom of CR offer

Yeah I clicked through that button/link, but it only gave me 12 months.

Just wondering if there is something else I missed.
