Fitting tyres purchased elsewhere

If I lets say get tyres online or at another cheaper place, where can I get them fitted and usually how much does it cost? Thanks in advance

Additional question:

How much does a tyre rotation generally cost?

I'm in Townsville, QLD btw

Any tyre service will fit them for you.

Depending on how friendly the tyre service is you can expect to pay $20 - $30 a tyre to have tyres you supply fitted to your rims. More if they have to strip your rims first.

    This will include balancing. YMMV

Tyre rotation will cost about $50, again YMMV.

If you are lucky enough to have a friend in the business it will cost you a slab.

Don’t forget that this may not include the tyre disposal fee. My local tyre guy makes you take your old tyres with you if you buy them online and get them fitted at his workshop.

But the prices seem to be about right from my recent experience.

  • Ring a few locals and ask?

    • Yeah will have to

  • About 5-10 years ago, I could find a number of workshops happy to fit/rotate/balance them for $15 each, if I was getting 4 fitted (also including disposal). Now even finding finding fit/rotate/balance and disposal for $20 each is getting quite difficult. If you buy them from tyre sales, it's best to get them to arrange delivery/fitting to one of their partners as they only charge $15 per tyre.

  • Call mycar (new name of ktas), and see if they'll match it as well.
