[PS4, XB1] Fallout 76 + 500 "Atoms" $7.96 @ Costco Epping (Membership Required)

120

Spotted in store.
Comes with 500 "Atoms" redeemable code which are $7.95 RRP, so this is as close to free as you can get.

Bought and played with the new updates released in April to add NPC's & quests etc. and not bad at all, especially for the price.

Deal may be in other stores and not sure of stock levels - the cases are just displays.

still too expensive- they need to pay me first.

My thoughts too - but with the Wastelanders DLC it's a cheap way to get some Fallout lore with Fallout 3 style dialogue. Really nice scenery too.

        not my thoughts!
with wastelanders it's another fallout game with same engine as fallout 4. fine to play solo, and interact with other people however you like.
I played a bit on release, a bit after wild appalachia, but started again after wastelanders and playing a fair bit.

in the end, anyone that enjoys fallout games should find this worth the time. the rocky release shouldn't impact peoples enjoyment of the game now.

        • regardless of that i will never forget the deceit and scumbagery Bethesda got up to with this game …
any future games are a wait and see what happens, they have not done anything to redeem themselves they have just proven that the game shouldn't have been released until recently ..

being $8 i wouldnt say NO dont buy it ,its not much to loose if you hate it

@Braggs: yes they certainly pulled some shit, and agree that it probably only just reached release quality. I have no issue recommending it to people now; their mistakes at release shouldn't taint the current game. I feel like they've put in a lot of effort to recover.

but as you say, it should definitely change peoples behaviour on their next game. there's not much point not playing a game you'll probably enjoy out of spite, but there's plenty of point to be way more careful of bethesda in the future, and that's what really impacts them.

It is no doubt about to go free to play model on console.

They had a free weekend last week on XB1 so may be starting to drum up more publicity now Wastelanders DLC has been released for an eventual F2P model.

In case anyone not aware, Fallout 76 requires PS Plus subscription even if playing solo.
