It is better to go for Da As Samsung's base model phones and not waste money on its flagship phones. Samsung has released Android 10 and Samsung One UI 2.0 update for Samsung A20 phone but Note 8 has not got it. I called Samsung and they said Note 8 will not get Android 10 & One UI 2.0 saying the hardware is not made to handle it! It means a $1200 phone will not handle latest software but a $150 will.

    • Dude, the note 8 will handle the software, you just spoke to an employee who didn't know what they were on about. The reason the note 8 won't be getting android 10 is simply age. Companies usually only pay google for a 2-3 year license to upgrade android and not giving one ui updates is a further step along with sealed batteries, to get you to upgrade and buy another phone off of them sooner. Why are you so concerned about the latest android? I have been using android 6 on my old Samsung gs5 for the last 4 years and have never had a problem lol

      • Mate, what information a Samsung employee will give you should be more credible than what you and I will say about Samsung product. I also laughed it out when he said Note 8 hardware is not able to handle it. My point is the flagship phones people pay premium price for should get most of upgrades until it reaches to a point where the hardware is not supported by updated software.
The latest software brings enhancements, more features, changes and betterment which most people like and accept rather than living in Nokia age lol.

The only way you'll get updates on old phones is to update them yourself - here's android 10 for note 8

      • android 6 is buggy.
        Much rather android 9.

I think you should upgrade to a much better phone.

Is the Samsung Galaxy A51 not a better deal? It's only $20 more.
    Edit: Youngtail beat me.

    Any offers on tablets?

Is it ok to use the $50 discount more than twice?

This one has a Mediatek processor. Avoid.

For $20 more you can get the A51 on the same site with an Exynos 9611

    • This one has a Mediatek processor. Avoid.

Why? You have to tell us a reason.

  • FYI you can't use the $50 mailing list credit in the online store - only the main retail store (source: Samsung chat and annoying "invalid code" messages)

I think I received a code for the retail store by mistake; the link above points to T&C that specifically says
