I have ANZ travel adventure card where I can redeem 1 return velocity flight before 31 May and then another flight from 1 June.
I plan to apply for Qantas Black card which implies I will likely have to close an adventure card.
Considering ongoing crisis and virgin flights freeze, what's the best possible way to utilise 2 free flights before I close card in 2nd week of June?
Worst part is I must book it under my name.
I'd personally use the current free flight then cancel the card, rather than pay the second year's fee. I feel it's just not worth it for a flight that may/may not be redeemable.
It is linked with break free package so not worried about annual fee.
Call them and ask for an extension for the first one at least. Can you cancel the card before paying the next annual fee?
No annual fee is payable as the card is linked with home loan
I want Qantas Black to avail 120k promo. I closed previous Qantas Black on 30 May 2019.
Given the Virgin policy of "free" changes to flights booked up until September 30th, I would book both your flights for a date prior to September 30 and then change them if you need to.
"If you booked on or after 21 April 2020 and your travel is before September 30 2020, we’ll waive any applicable change fees if you want to change your booking."
