Looking for Streaming Device/Stick with Ethernet Port

I did some research and kinda found Roku to be well recommended by review sites online. I like that it doesn't push purchasable media but I don't know how bad of a problem it is with other devices as I don't have one at all. I also cant seem to find an AU seller for Roku that isn't over priced like crazy.

Please suggest a device with the following requirements:
Ethernet port
Youtube app
Plex app

Update: I went ahead with Vodafone TV and its great so far, no issues that I am aware of.

    • Please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't chromecast reliant on your phone ?

      • I guess what I really wanna ask is does the chromecast take over the network connection or does the content first reach my phone then is sent to the chromecast.

The lounge area has good signal in half the area and almost dead in the other half so I don't want content to stop if the phone moves around.

        • see below - vodafone tv has been great for me. controlled via bluetooth remote. has chromecast built in. does everything you need.

Chromecast streams directly from the Internet. Phone just controls it.

    • This works perfectly as well if you can't find a genuine adaptor.

My chromecast ultra has one on the power adapter that was included. I haven’t used it though.

    • I think I will go with Vodafone TV. From research the only relevant con is the 100 mbps port but I wont be using this TV myself so not big deal

  • I was sceptical at first but I shifted everything to an AppleTv.

You can run Plex or MrMc or just plain old VLC.

    Has Ethernet and YouTube app.
