  • Trying to decide between the Baton Pro & Seeker 2 Pro.

    • Weight is a big factor, as the battery cell is different.

It depends how/where you will use it, or if you use it regularly and want compact, or longevity.

The baton is more pocketable, and sits in a drawer or glovebox better. They have models with a belt pouch, but having a slim model is easier to keep in a jacket or Pocket without getting caught on edges and corners. Or in a kitchen drawer if you don’t get the wall mount to give it a “home” to charge.

If you use it outdoors, the Seeker is more of a beam torch than a spot. The size of the battery also gives you intensity, If you need “daytime” brightness to blind people by accident, or to dig in an attic /garage storage area, sic.

They get very toasty as well if you use them at peak/boost, so that can be a big factor. As in, 10-15 seconds you’ll notice when it’s a slim model. Great in winter to keep as a hand warmer… sigh.

They often have “flash” sales for limited colour runs, and they do make good Christmas or Father’s Day gifts, Afterpay also helps soften the expense.

      • Thanks for the detailed reply, toliman.

I did a bit of additional research on Reddit and Youtube, and have decided on the Seeker 2 Pro. I do a fair bit of night/astrophotography & hiking/camping, so I think it may be better suited to my needs.

  • This seems a little derivative…

While I appreciate your posts, I recommend posting them, say, the day before the sale starts instead of around 5 days before.

      • Just use reminder…

      • But that gives you minimal notice unless you check OZBargain daily or get notifications for a store or search term.

I mean you're relying on people to set reminders for your post anyways because you post them 5 days before the sale starts. Minimal notice is not really an issue on Ozbargain. People are all for "buy first ask questions later". You'll often find comments in popular deals where people go "Ok I bought one but what is it?"

Edit: Posts also don't stay up a long time. There's no trace of it after a day due to it being buried by new posts. 7 Upvotes won't hit the front page of Ozbargain. It's better to post when the deal is live or the same day that it goes live so that at least the people browsing by New can see it.

@Bacons: If it will help, I'll post it closer to the date just for you :)

  • I visit this site for tool info/review but they also have an detailed discussion on the O-Lights that people may find useful:

Personally I'm trying to find a nice USB-C rechargeable flashlight… but the Marauder is a bit big for my needs! https://www.olightstore.com.au/olight-x7r-marauder-12000-lum…

  • How do these compare with Thorfire brand ones?
