Haven't considered electric blankets yet.
The Aldi one like most others are 50W. Try to look for one that is 100W like the Kambrooks.
Best recommendation would be on investing on a good quilt cover, perhaps one for winter and one for summer.
We had a Subeam. Was great. Lasted a good 8 years. Used every night in winter. Seperate controls with around 10 temperatures, also a 75min or 12 hour timer.
Was machine washable, but I think 8 years and many washes is what killed it.
On the look out for a new one now. Can’t find any deals yet.
