A good price for Medjool dates. Not sure if it's a nation-wide price but looks like it. As @8azinga mentioned in their comment below, these dates have been at this price in Coles earlier in this season.
Some Coles stores had 5kg boxes in April - a great option if you want to gift some to (or share with) family and friends.

Ramadan is over so the dicounts gonna go soon. I think I saw $7/kg on them at Coles last week.
Medjool dates aren't that popular with the muslims. Ajwa and the small (not that sweet) dates from Saudi Arabia and UAE are more popular.
If this is indeed true, please don’t tell Coles this, I look forward to the discounted Medjool every year.

I am tempted but usually the whole box of dates are left in the open with everyone putting their grubby fingers in there.
Buy the boxed dates. Fresher!
I just bought a 5kg box from them for $49.00 (click and collect) on Thursday which I was quite happy with.
