Samsung Tab S6 Vs Apple iPad Pro 11" Thoughts?

I'm a Design student specialising in Architecture, and I'm looking to get a tablet to supplement my laptop and desktop at home. This would be to do sketching taking notes and consuming media. I don't have a preference over OS, as I have used both in the past. I would be buying the apple pencil if I was to buy the iPad. I also saw hte Ipad air 3, so if there are any thoughts on that aswell. I was looking and found that the drawing and possibly note taking apps are better on IOS? Just looking for some other input from you guy's who have used either or device, or if there's another that I should look int.

Nothing comes close to the iPad.

      +1 to this

the ipad pro 11" was my first ever apple product.

In regards to phones, most other brands have caught up or surpassed the iphone.

but when it comes to tablets, the ipad is still far ahead and clearly superior.

      • Yeah, I have had the original iPad and the iPad mini (1st Gen) and then a tab s2, and the tab s2 was no where close to the 4 year old iPad mini at the time. Even now, the iPad feels speedier and more optimized, seeming that most android apps are just a scaled phone app.

  • I would say Ipad. There was an architect firm on YouTube that also posted a vid on use of Ipad in design studio. Unfortunately I can't recall the firm.

    Found it https://youtu.be/PzQTJKPsGIU

    • Thanks for that!

  • why not Surface especially the new AMD 4000s coming soon

    • i'm not looking for a new laptop as I have a lenovo C940 and a powerful desktop, it's more of a supplement to better off my workflow, I also enjoy hand writing notes, and having them digital would be amazing.

  • iPad Pro with the pencil. Get a subscription to the morphilo app, it’s a great architecture/building design app.

    • Have you tried Morphilo, as I've heard mixed reviews?

      • Yes I have used it before.. Best feature that no other app have is the scale ruler. It can take a photo, set a manual scale and use that to make all the edits and it will be to scale. Can then use it to make measurements.

My iPad Pro 12.9 2020 is faster than my iMac from 2017 if that helps

    • Thanks for that!
