Best Way to Buy OnePlus 8 Pro 12GB/256 Black IN2023 EU Model

Hi OZBargainers,
I am looking to buy OnePlus 8Pro 12GB/256GB Black IN2023 EU Model, which has both B28 for 4G and N78 for 5G in Australia. Chinese version is IN2020 which has N78 Band for 5G but lacks B28 for 4G. The international version (apparently for US & NA) is IN2025 which has B28 for 4G but lacks N78 for 5G. So only EU Model IN2023 ticks both the boxes.
I know 4G will work without B28 also, but if you are spending over $1,000 it is better to have fully functional device.

Any reliable source to purchase EU model please?

If you are spending over $1,000 on a phone, is it not better to get something with local warranty & ACL coverage if something goes wrong?

  • I fully agree with you but it is a known fact that Oneplus 8 Pro isn't officially available in Australia, no this is something I am willing to risk but at least want to have a fully functional device.

  • Buybuybox has now started listing IN2023 models via their eBay store

    • Yes I saw that as well, but they don't have Black color with 12GB/256GB memory.

Seems after my query to Buybuybox, tgey have corrected all there listed items, and now all of those are showing IN2020 model :)

Kogan has the correct models but possibly not the black 256gb one.

I exchanged few messages with a few online sellers, and all of them informed that IN2023 model didn't come in 12GB/256GB with Black colour. Only Green and Blue were released in 12GB/256GB specifications.

  • Just get a blue locally and put a black case on it.

    • When you say "locally" from where?

      • As SgtBatten mentioned, Kogan seems to have them and they're "local" more or less.

Anyway, I'm looking for one as well and from what I can tell either they really don't make the 256GB in black or they're out of stock. The below ebay link seems to list a black with the 256GB so maybe wait a month or so?

        • Yes, thats what I concluded too that the IN2023 model doesn't have Black 12GB/256GB model. Only green and blue, and that is what some sellers also told me. I guess I may end up buying Oppo Find X2 Pro as it is officially available in Australia and has exactly same specs as OnePlus 8 Pro minus Wireless Charging.

  • If it means anything, I have the IN2020 Asian model and have had no issues with 4G in Metro Sydney. Even at my workplace in a highrise I have pretty good reception.

  • Just curious to know if you found the IN2023 black model with 256gb storage… still looking myself and I've not had any luck.

    • I ended up buying Oppo Find X2 Pro from JB Hifi Telstra deal. But saw Kogan selling IN2023 model with 256GB storage but at a premium price.

      • Any issues with the oppo? I'm still waiting to see if there is an IN2023 with 256GB in black… can't seem to find it anywhere

        • No. One of the best phones I have ever used. Solid built, no heating issues like Exynos, and blazing fast battery charging.
