Your entry will be judged by our expert panel based on the criteria listed on the Judging Criteria Page. The Freestyle Category – Cook any steak you like, anyway. Film a video of any length and submit it. Prize: $500

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

There are two categories.

The Perfect Steak Champion. This is the pay to enter the category. We invite you to make a short (up-to) 3-minute video of you cooking Your Perfect Steak using the methodology described in our best-selling book Your Perfect Steak. The entry fee is $49 and for that, we post you our book and a cool Perfect Steak apron. Your entry will be judged by our panel based on the criteria listed below. The winner will receive $3000 prize-money. There are also cash and product prizes for the runners-up and Peoples Choice awards. View them below.

The Freestyle Steak Champion. This is free to enter category. You don’t receive a book or an apron. You simply make your steak cooking video any way you like and upload it for judging. The winner will receive $500.

This is an exciting competition for all BBQ enthusiasts from the low and slow community through to home cooks and professional chefs.
