Air fryer recipes - tell me yours!

Ozbargain loves an air fryer. What are your best recipes?

Mine is air fryer popcorn chicken.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Chicken thigh cut into bite size cubes
  • Mixture of breadcrumbs, rice flour and a little plain flour
  • Chilli powder
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Neutral oil
  • 1 egg

Method:

  1. Mix all the spices (according to how much flavour you'd like to each) into crumb mixture
  2. Mix chicken pieces in egg
  3. Dredge in flour mixture
  4. Return to egg mixture to use up remaining egg
  5. Back into the flour
  6. Spray/coat with oil and air fry for 6 minutes at 170 degrees
  7. Flip and air fry for another 4 minutes at 170 degrees
  8. Check on it and see if you need air fry a bit longer to make it crispy
  9. Enjoy

I've play around with the crumbing. I've added grated parmesan before, dried parsley, lemon rind…all was great.

  • That popcorn recipe, can we just get frozen one in a box and air fryer them? Cheaper/save time?

You certainly can. This is one of my favourite recipes because it tastes better than KFC popcorn chicken and probably tastes better than the frozen stuff too.

you can throw pretty much anything savoury in there and the crumbs that are created are quite tasty.
