Which Ram for Ryzen 5 2600?

Hi

I am looking to upgrade my ram in my techfast build with a Ryzen 5 2600 and a Biostar B350M
According to the biostar website, this board only supports up to 2933MHz

To my understanding the Ryzen 2600, according to AMD also only supports up to 2933 but people can use 3200 without any issue

Currently my ram is 8GB Gskill 2666 CL19 x 1

I am looking to upgrade to dual channel 8 + 8gb for 16gb

Has anyone used faster than 2933MHz ram in their own Techfast build?

If 3200 is possible, should I go 3200MHz @ CL16 or 3000MHz @ CL15?

    Hey, not totally sure, but with Intel CPU's (I have a 2600) if you install faster RAM than the CPU can support, it will automatically be downclocked to the fastest supported RAM. Correct me if I'm wrong 😂

      Correct. Down clock faster ram is easy.

    Always go with the MANUFACTURERS recommendation

    I went back to the website and it actually lists which memory is supported for those that see this in the future

    states it only "Supports Dual Channel DDR4 1866/2133/2400/2667/2933"

    However the memory supports up 3200, even up to 4000
