28 Degrees Shoppers Insurance for new applicants only?

Can somebody confirm what the status is on 28 Degrees Shoppers Insurance and if anybody has been able to make a recent claim? If so how long have you had your card?

I applied for a card last year and was advised the feature was being removed, yet I continue seeing it promoted on their site. I spoke to somebody today and was advised it was for new applicants only and not for existing cardholders!

      yes. but you can pay off the balance before statement and pay $0.

  • I dont think new customers are eligible. These types of insurance have been scrapped

  • Can you specify where do you see it promoted in their website? I don't see any price protection insurance promoted there.

    My understanding is that it’s not offered to new customers, and if you are an existing customer, you had to have activated it before September 2019. Only if you fall into this group, can you still make claims.

    • Thanks for the info. I suspect that I may have missed as I got my card in October/November last year. I just couldn't seem to a get a straight answer when I contacted them today.

    I just got my shopper's protection claim approved yesterday.
    I am a customer since 2016. Never had my insurance declined in history.

    they still charge me for it, so I assume I can still claim on it. I did it twice last year without a problem.

    • Why do you let them charge you?

      • perhaps he either wait for the statement to come out or he doesn't pay in full each month….
