several other companies make double insulated glasses, i have the bodum ones which have a silicone valve on the bottom. on some sites there are reports they leak eventually from dish washing and you can end up with fogging inside, i also have avanti and aldi ones, which are completely sealed glass.
i haven’t had issues with my bodum ones and the silicone valve on the bottom leaking, but i also don’t use daily …… if it was such an issue i’d imagine would be fixed by now ?
I've owned Bodum for years. This definitely happens with them (literally the first time I put into dishwasher) so I never put them in there since and hand wash only.
They are also very fragile and need to be treated with a lot of care. I've had 3-4 of them crack with some fairly minor bumps on things
You don't know Aldi makes a lot of copies from other brands?
Got the Aldi ones last time - I think it took about 3 weeks before water started seeping in between the layers of the walls of the glass. I bought these ones to replace them and they have no similar problems.

Target sell the double wall glasses with or without handles (Like an insulated coffee mug).
They are not Bodum brand though (Targets own brand)
