10% off Myer eGift Cards (Was 6%) @ Reward Gateway (Membership Required)

120

This may have limited appeal to the OB community but Reward Gateway are having a week of Daily Deals. If your loyalty or benefits program uses Reward Gateway then you may be able to take advantage.

Anyway, today's deal is 10% off Myer instant egift cards, which are normally only 6%. Can be used in-store or online but not for credit payments or other gift cards, and have a 3-year expiry.

How It Works

  1. Purchase an Instant eGift Card of ANY denomination in whole dollar amount up to $4999. You will be given more than one Instant eGift Card if your order exceeds that amount.
  2. You only pay the face value of the Instant eGift Card LESS the % saving listed below.
  3. The Instant eGift Card will be available from your ‘My Account > My Instant eGift Cards’ straight away.
  4. Shop at Myer in-store or online, and use your Instant eGift Card to pay for your items.

I'd be very careful on loading up on discounted gift cards, especially for a business like Myer and especially during these economic times. Dick Smith was also peddling plenty of discounted gift cards before they went under, having the holder as an "unsecured creditor".

Good deal if you're buying something from Myer soon, but I wouldn't stock up.

  • Can anyone join the membership ?
Looks like an employee reward program .

Yes, it is. I don’t know how easy it is to sign up if you have your own business, I just have access to it because my employer uses it for our benefits program. That’s also why I stayed in the post that it will have limited appeal to the OB community.

      • your employer has to pay. I think it is a big amount for an individual

    • I found some basic details and posted ithem n this deal thread.

  • so sad, I am not within those employers, who has this reward program.

    • Was there a list to check somewhere?

      • You'd know if your employer was part of this rewards program …

        • Do you know if David Jones can combine giftcards for you, lets just say I have 10 gift cards worth 20 each but I want to combine them all into one. Can I do that? thanks

          • @frontliners199: I haven't worked there in almost two years; things change. Someone said here that they don't combine gift cards any more

          • @frontliners199: Apart from what kerfuffle said, you'd need to go into a store and ask at the Customer Service counter. Some retailers will do it (for example, EB Games did this for me last year) but some won't. YMMV
