Yeah seems very unreliable and difficult to use from comments in that thread.

  • @tg Have you actually used this service?

  • Why do none of these sort of offers ever have mobile apps? Worthless for me without it.

Lifetime online storage for a fixed fee is impossible. It's that simple. Might as well throw your money and data in the bin.

It's no different to Shell blaming you can have lifetime petrol for $2000. It's not a sustainable business model.

    • I came in to warn the same. Lifetime until they close or change the business name.

      • Yes, had an issue like that with an app called Cerberus. I paid for a lifetime license, and last year they switched me (an many other users online) to a yearly plan. Their excuse being "we never thought we would last that long, so now we need to charge yearly to stay afloat". Fun times

It wasn't great but to be fair they did give another 3 years on the subscription which made it pretty worth considering I got 5+ years of Cerberus for whatever it originally was (under 10 dollars?)

I've been using pcloud for a few years. So far so good. Wait till the black friday sales when they discount the lifetime plans.

    • What was the price on Black Friday? They are advertising a discount atm

      • Its $245USD for the 2TB on black friday. I see $350 at the moment with their regular sale price. Im a windows/android user and all has been good with the desktop and phone app. My friend is on Apple ecosystem and all has been good for him too.

    • Agreed, I'm also a pcloud user on the LTD.

Been on it for several years now and the 2yrs cost I would've paid at dropbox has already been covered by the last few years use, so can't lose now.

Degoo cloud drive 100gb absolutely FREE

And not a bad App for Android and I'm sure IOS would be same

    Enjoy ðŸĪŠðŸ˜€ðŸ‘ŒðŸ‘

    • Yeah I'm not going to trust data I need to a free backup solution. Might as well take a hammer to my hard drives right now.

  • Seems fishy at that price. I mean your data could be all gone if their company goes down lol. I also dont know about their privacy policy as there is no mention of it meaning they could see the stuff you upload. I suppose you could encrpyt with Rclone I suppose but yer reviews arent looking great…

    • It's worse than fishy, it's straight up deception. They know it's not sustainable.

  • Enjoy losing your data.

  • Thanks fellas for your insights, it's your informed voices that help us to not get caught in these shams and lessen the amount of frustration in this already frustrating world…
