  • Looks good. But I suppose you'd need an electrician to install them?

    • Based on the fourth picture, absolutely.

    • +4

Yeah, laws based on protecting trades rather than common sense.

      • +1

        Nah it's common sense, mate.

Every other country in the word is wrong and Australia is right, obviously.

      • During my high school in India, I use to install/maintain the fans and lights within the boarding school. I’m still alive and the school is still standing and not burnt down. During technology exhibition and sports days, we did all the electrical work along with the linked university students.

    Don't believe there's a replaceable bulb.

Whole unit will need to be replaced.

    • Now this is a good comment. Saves so many people from buyer's remorse.

  • What are the other hue products on sale?

  • You could just stick a Lifex in a standard light for a lot less with greater function.

    • +1

Thats kind of what i did. Ended up buying weatherproof GU10 compatible wall fixture (I can also tilt/position the fixture where i want) and a separate Hue GU10 light bulb. I was initially going to buy the wall lantern but it was too expensive at the time, hence i tracked the price on camelcamelcamel. Forgot all about it then was notified this morning that the price had dropped significantly. Maybe it helps somebody who wants to buy it.

      • I snapped it up on JB for $110. Good lantern, but agree you could use an existing wall fixture - but this is cool in its up/down light fashion!

Good prices on a number of the HUEs on Amazon.

Bought 2 of the Philips Hue White and Colour Ambience, Outdoor Pedestal Calla Base Unit, 8W, IP65 (Full Pack) for $124 each
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07K2FFS8L/ref=ppx_yo_d…

Already have 6 of the spotlights in the backyard.

    • Same! Now I just need to work out if I can get any of the tee piece extensions from somewhere.

    • 8W doesn't seem too bright at all.

  • This and the bathroom light went quick!

Anyone know if the Fuzo pedestal light needs to be hardwired, or does it ship with a 240V plug kit? Cant find the info anywhere. Be good if can link together like the Calla and Impress, but otherwise seems like you need separate wiring/power to each unit?

    • Philips sent me the manual - each have to be hardwired….
