UHD Monitor 4k work and gaming

Hi all,
Been thinking to get a decent monitor
After reading about 4k monitor and 1440p monitor, I am unsure what to pick.
Therefore, can I get best recommendation for the following monitor need:
-Uses:
1. Work. (documents)
2. Gaming. (console xbox one or PS)
3. Study and general use.
-Size: 24"-32" (something doesn't strain the eye)
-Resolution: 4k is preferred for the console,
-Refresh Rate 60Hz, 144 hz(optional) . Reading articles, the technology seems to be limited that console and gaming doesn't produce 4k@144hz anyways. At max, xbox one will product 120Hz at 1440.
-Panel: IPS
-Budget: less than $1k
-HDR

-Freesync is needed (or Freesync 2), compatible with xbox

Thanks in advance.

I got this one about 18 months ago, good value and I play COD on it at 1440p with a 2060 no dramas

I have Benq EW3270U, and I wouldn't recommend it. Mine has horrible gray uniformity, I regret not returning it.

At 4K, definitely go 27", not 24". For 1440p either is fine. I would definitely recommend an IPS over a TN panel in almost every circumstance, especially if the primary use is work-related. If you want high frame-rates, TN panels will give you that but the image quality is vastly inferior and they can be hard on the eyes if your primary use is reading text, especially if you use black on grey text for example. Like I use Blender quite a lot, and on a TN panel your eyes really strain to read the text. IPS = no problems on that front.

    • Thanks, in that case, I'll hunt for IPS type.

  • Found a few products that seems to meet the criteria, anyone have a thought on these products?

    LG 27UL600-W
    LG 27UL850-W

I wasnt able to locate LG 27UK650 as suggested by this review.

I've just ordered a Samsung ur55 for 500. Sorry not much time to write, but don't buy a 1440p, the resolution is only compatible with Xbox One X. I have 1440p. 1080p looks better on my Xbox One and PS4 Pro. Super important. That's why I'm changing to 4k finally.

    • Nice one.
Good spec by the looks of it.
I am considering to get that one too, given its low price
