Hi All,
Time to buy new wiper blades. Keen to get recommendations for good quality blades and also brands to avoid. Need to fit Hyundai i30 2013 wagon and 2017 Subaru Outback.
Have read many posts recommending Bosch Aerotwin wiper blades (not available for i30:(, and recently negatives for quality of Wipertech blades. Any other suggestions?

If you park your car outside all day, a year is standard. I use them myself and also replace them once a year
RainX… no need for blades. Well just get the quietest ones you can really.
If you get modern aero-style ones they tend to last a lot longer. Especially if when you wash the car you give them a quick wipe with a sponge that's wet with some car wash/detergent. If you leave dirt on them and let them sit dry they crack pretty easily and also don't wash the screen very well. Also cleaning the windscreen occasionally with carwash or glass polish helps keep the wipers in better condition.
All I know is don't buy the cheap SCA refills. Noisy and starting to smear less than 2 months use.
You get 2 months out of them?? Wow. That's more than double what I have gotten from them. :D
Either that or leaving the wipers on for 2 months is a big ask.
Have a Honda; just last week I did the non-ozbargainy thing and bought replacement rubber inserts from the dealership and replaced all three of them in the existing original wipers myself.
The original rubbers lasted 2 years and only just now the driver's one started to streak slightly (I probably could have left them for another 6 to 12 months if I was being tight), so I thought they must be OK…oddly 1 out of 3 are made in Thailand (vs Japan).
I did look at buying the same from SCA/repco etc, but none seemed to have the exact lengths I needed, so I would have had to purchased multiple packets or whatever combinations and cut them, for not that much cheaper. Maybe I didn't look properly or something. It's not a frequent expense and low value (relatively speaking), so that's how I justified it to myself…at least I didn't buy the whole wiper assembly replacements.

not odd given Honda makes almost every car in Thailand now
They do not even have a manufacturing facility in Japan for their major cars anymore (Civic etc)
They make a few smaller cars for the Japan only market in Japan, the rest are Thailand
I tend to buy ‘whatever’ from StuperCheap. The only ones I’ve had a drama with are the coloured silicon ones. Tried them ‘just because’ and won’t again, seem to be very noisy and didn’t wipe well they made the noise.
Aerotwin user here and it walks allover wipertech. Heard a lot of good things on Denso too.
If you can find them and want to keep your car for a while, it could be worth looking at silicone wiper blade replacements. Apparently they last much longer than rubber.
Really happy with my recent purchase of wipertechs.
They work great.
I'm also curious about what the others have experienced. The original ones on my kia lasted less than 6 months before it started streaking. I then replaced them with Tridons (its a POS < 3months). Went to Costco to get the Michelin ones and am still using them a year later but its starting to streak.

I'll also chime in for Wipertech. Had mine for approx 2 years and they've been great.
Having said that, the car has been garaged for most of that time.
i bought Tridon CurveBlade Single Wiper from SCA nearly a year ago, and they just come up for replacement… so very interested as to what people recommend as the Tridon i wouldn't personally
