Upgrade Bluetooth in Lexus Ct200h 2013

The 2013 Lexus CT200h only allows bluetooth for phone calls.
I'm looking for suggestions on how to upgrade the bluetooth so it can also stream music from the phone.
Currently I have an audio cable connected into the aux input of the car.
Any suggestions on places that can upgrade/mod in Victoria appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Cheap and cheerful fix will be a Bluetooth transmitter into AUX.

Avoid the Bluetooth to FM transmitter ones due to interference issues.

  • I have a 2007 Lexus IS250 with the same issue.

I bought this exact transmitter from Amazon. I chose this one because it includes a ground loop noise isolator, I noticed when I used the aux prior to getting this bluetooth unit there would be a lot of interference if I was charging my phone and the ground loop noise isolator get rid of this issue.

This unit works really well in my car as the aux and the car power are located in the glovebox, so I can keep everything in there out of sight. If you were happy not to have the controls like on mine the one linked above by bdl would probably be even better in your car as it looks like you have a USB and AUX right next to each other and out in the open so it would look more tidy.

Not sure what phone you have but on my Samsung S10 I have it set to only play music through the transmitter and all calls go through the car, this way you can see who is calling on the screen.

There was a way to change my touch screen from stock and install any head unit with this facia kit but my stock touchscreen also does AC, and the facia unit moves these to a smaller screen up the top. Looks a bit ugly, its an expensive facia kit and it wouldn't be as simple as a normal head unit upgrade as you also have to deal with the HVAC wiring.

  • You guys are totally awesome. Thank you so very much.
