Ryzen 4700U, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of Storage Redmibook for around $1300

I just noticed xiaomi has released it's redmibook lineup and it's starting to pop up from sellers that ship to Australia. The value for money is pretty good. Here's the full details:

So for the fully speced 16" it's CNY 4,299 which translates to $883.66AUD, however it's marked up to $1300 from what I've seen. But that's still a pretty great deal. Only thing is the risk of running into warranty problems down the line. Also it's only 1080p, which to me is pretty awful at 16". And finally a 46whr battery.

Lenovo Slim is about $1300 too with similar spec I believe.

The CPU is new. I'd wait until all major vendors reveal and bring to market their range. Acer Swift has a 4500U edition for about US$700.

You know first adopters always pay a premium.

You could probably buy a Lenovo E14/15 (unreleased) for same price locally minus a few % with cashback rather than importing and having to pay the tax duties and not having the benefit of warranty.
