Bad idea imo.
I have changed most of my containers to glass from Ikea. It makes it easy to wash and easy to cook with. I can place them in the oven if required for cooking so one less metal container to buy for quiche or lasagne.
What I hate about silicon is the staining and the odour that lingers after a while no matter how much you wash. Same with plastics.
That said, no kids yet. I might have to switch back at some point.
