Upholstery Attachment for ALDI's Wet & Dry Vaccum

I'm looking to get the Wet & Dry vacuum thats going on sale at Aldi soon.
Does anybody know if its possible to get upholstery and carpet cleaning attachments for this? If so, from where? I need something that can help clean carpet and stains on fabric and if this can get the job done, I wouldn't need to get a Spot cleaner vacuum cleaner.

You cannot steam clean upholstery or carpet with this vacuum cleaner - it is designed to extract dry soil and water from floors - it is purely for extraction. To clean stains etc you need a hot water extraction machine that can inject hot water and detergent into the carpet and then extract it. This vacuum cleaner is just a vacuum cleaner.

For small areas (spot cleaning) I've used my Karcher wet/dry vac for years. But it's either spray or pour shampoo solution , scrub with a stiff brush, then vacuum til near dry. If it's a trafficked area lay down a towel until it's 100% dry. I wouldn't use it on anything but a synthetic rug.

"Inject" hot water? That's a fancy way to say "spray on"(not to diss BG, that's marketing). If the job is not small, yes hire a specialist. Or buy a proper carpet-cleaner. Just a 10 second search shows Ebay has Bissell brand starting from $315 on up. Might even Ozbargain one if you're lucky.

For upholstery of any value, I'd use a pro. And one that has experience.

    • Our carpet cleaning machine uses high pressure so it does "inject" the water into the carpet - we use a sprayer to "spray" the detergent on and then the hot water extraction machine to inject water at high pressure into the carpet - they are very different processes and not marketing jargon.

  • You can get heads for them at about the cost of a small Bissell (but perform way better). Like Mytee 8400. There is another brand a lot of car detailers use but I can't remember the brand.
